 THE LADY'S GAME
By Cheryl Ann Smith
Publisher: Wild Rose Press
Ashlinn has waited seven years for her beloved Adrian to return to Hearthfield Keep and wed her. What she didn't expect was how quickly he'd forget her face. Now revenge will be hers...

"Give me kiss lass, so I might have the touch of your soft lips to warm the chill of my wedding night."
The voice from within the deep copper tub was heavy with warmth and touched with wry humor and casual arrogance. His tone told Ashlinn of Hearthfield Keep he expected her to do as he asked, without pause, as if no woman could resist his manly charms.
She frowned and turned her back to the large, dark-haired, and very naked knight who sprawled without
embarrassment in the warm soapy water.
He did not recognize her. Her annoyance rose ten fold when he tried for a second time to steal a kiss from her, the maid who tended his bath on the eve of his wedding. The knowledge that he would soon have all rights to her body mattered naught since he was unaware she was his intended wife.

The Lady's Game is truly a clever one. A well-written story, which tests true love. Cheryl Ann Smith gives us another heartwarming and humorous read. Reviewed by author Abbey MacInnis.
